The Jim Lippi Family Scholarship
A joint venture between Ivano’s Restaurante & The Angels Over Sandpoint, “The Italian Open Golf Scramble” is held each September, to benefit this scholarship fund.
Beyond financial need, Lippi Scholars show “resiliency”, special drive, courage and determination to be successful in high school, overcoming obstacles that might have derailed others. These students have a plan for college /or trade school that will lead to sustainability as productive adults.
We are pleased and proud to award the 2016 Jim Lippi Family Scholarships of $500 to $1,000 each to Destinee Holliger, James Bradley, Alexandria Fredericks, Justin Marks and Genevieve Price.

Angels/Festival Arts Scholarship
The Angels Over Sandpoint/Festival at Sandpoint Arts Scholarship is a rotating award with a different arts focus each year. The focus rotates between Vocal, Writing, Visual Arts and Dance/Theater, with the focus of the 2016 Arts Scholarship on Dance/Theater.
The Scholarship Committee auditioned three Sandpoint High School seniors; all very talented and excellent students.
The 2016 dance scholarship of $1,500 from the Angels and $500 from the Festival was awarded to Abigail Shepard, who plans to incorporate dance into her future career as a therapist.
Abigail will also have the opportunity to perform her interpretive dance at the Festival at Sandpoint Family Concert, Sunday, August 7th. She is planning to attend the University of Idaho in the fall.

Community Service Award
The Community Service Scholarship was created to acknowledge Bonner County graduating seniors who have contributed to our community through service to individuals or groups, by establishing new and innovative programs to better the community, or other acts of kindness on their own initiative.
This year we awarded $1,000 scholarships to two deserving students:
Anna Lee Hepinstall for her outreach to the homeless and Justin Marks for his work to develop a program to assist the youth LGBT community.
Both these students have exhibited the compassion and desire to carry on with their work into their college life and beyond.

Fun at the Angels High Tea!
Attendees decked their fancy hats and dressed for the Angels High Tea held the first Saturday in May. They enjoyed a gourmet three course meal and the top teas from England. Homemade scones and sweets topped off meal. Decorative teapots adorned the artfully set tables. In addition to tickets sales additional proceeds were raised from the Silent Auction.
About Our New Website
Charity Advantage hosts our new Angels website. The company specializes in websites for organizations such as Angels Over Sandpoint. While there are many features that are improved over our previous website there are limitations too particularly in the area of the template design. Please thank Jo Roseborough, BJ Biddle and Helen Milne for their efforts and work regarding the redesign of the site. They spent many hours on this project.
