Welcome to the Follies, more fun than humans should be allowed! We are in our tenth year of presenting some of the best talent Sandpoint and the world has to offer (in our humble opinion). After months of rehearsal and making costumes and sets, the excitement of the performers is finally about to explode in fireworks of laughter and craziness. Be prepared to experience fun like never before (well, at least since last year). If you find that you aren’t laughing, you’re probably in the wrong place!
In 2011, we provided assistance for many urgent needs including food, clothing, firewood, gas cards for medical treatments, shoes, medication, a shoulder on which to cry, and a hug for strength. Our annual Back to School program provided 900 new backpacks, supplies, and dignity for an awesome first day of school for area children. When someone needs help, an Angel will be there.
The money raised from the Follies provides the necessary funding to carry out our mission of helping those in need. Angels Over Sandpoint is an all volunteer organization and 100% of your donations go back to those we help. We also provide two scholarships—one for community service and volunteerism and the other for outstanding accomplishments in the arts.
We need your help to continue making a difference and the Follies is one of our primary vehicles to raise the money to continue do carry out our mission. We can’t do it without you. From $5 to $5,000, we’ll warmly accept any amount you are willing to give. Even the Follies performers pay for their own tickets to help out.
Another important part of the Angels Over Sandpoint mission is to provide events that bring people together to celebrate life—and what is more full of life than the fabulous Follies?! It’s time to come out of hibernation, help others, and party!
Remember, this is a slightly “naughty” comedy show with continuous laughs, so you might have to buy the DVD to be sure to catch everything you missed the first time through.
